Advocate Ahmed was caught by the team after laying siege to village Panchi, district Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. On which the suspect gave his name (01) Vakil Ahmed father Saeed Ahmed age 28 years. I got 40000 rupees in partition and 40000 was kept by Abid and 45000 by Wajid alias Abid. All three went to their respective homes from different directions from Khariar Road Odisha.

    According to the police team, as told by the accused lawyer Ahmed, his co-accused (02) Mohammad Abid father Muzaffar Ali age 27 years. Village Panchi P.O. Dhikauli police station, Chandinagar district, Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh reached the house of the accused and raided the house where he was found present who was interrogated in police custody. Whoever, according to the accused lawyer Ahmed, robbed the house of Bagbahra church pastor, along with his fellow lawyers Ahmed and Wajid alias Abid, and told them to spend some of the cash received in the partition for food and drink and accepted the crime. According to the accused advocate Ahmed and Mohammad Abid, the other co-accused (03) Wajid alias Abid Meerut Delhi was searched by the police team who was not found at home and was found to be absconding.

    From the possession of accused Mohammad Abid, 01 piece of country katta and cash amount of Rs.30000 was found in loot and from the possession of advocate Ahmed, cash amount of Rs.20000 and 01 piece of mobile worth Rs.10000 and Jupiter scooty used in the incident worth Rs.35000 were found. Action was taken against the accused under crime number 91/23 section 342, 397, 450 Bhadvi, 25, 27 Arms Act in police station Bagbahra by seizing total Jumla worth Rs.95000.

    Mahasamund. Police has taken major action against drugs. Police has recovered 200 kg of ganja from 2 interstate ganja smugglers. Along with this, the vehicle smuggling marijuana has also been seized. The value of seized hemp and vehicle is being estimated at Rs 56 lakh.

    Please inform that, Superintendent of Police Mahasamund was continuously getting information about smuggling of illegal marijuana from Odisha. After which instructions were given to run the checking campaign. In this episode, during checking, a vehicle coming from Odisha was searched and 200 kg of ganja was recovered from the vehicle. To dodge the police, the accused were carrying ganja by hiding it in a secret chamber under the seat. Police has registered a case against the accused under Section 20(b) NDPS at Singhoda police station. Police has arrested Ganesh Majumdar resident of Gopalpur police station Banshihari West Bengal and Laxmi Dulai resident of Tikiapara police station Behrampur West Bengal.

    Mahasamund. During the current monsoon in Mahasamund district, an average rainfall of 234.2 mm has been recorded since June 01, 2023. According to the information received from the land records, maximum rainfall in the district was recorded in Mahasamund development block 374.1 mm, Saraipali 230.6 mm, Pithora 210.9 mm, Bagbahra development block 206.6 mm and the lowest rainfall 149.0 mm in Basna block.

    Today, on June 28, an average rainfall of 23.8 mm was recorded. Tehsil-wise rainfall of the district today recorded 44.7 mm in Bagbahra tehsil, 35.3 mm in Mahasamund tehsil, 14.3 mm in Pithora tehsil, 13.1 mm in Saraipali tehsil and 11.6 mm in Basna tehsil.

To avoid this, animals are being vaccinated by the Livestock Development Department by setting up camps and going door-to-door if needed. The villagers are being told through Munadi that free vaccination will be done in the camp. Along with this, medicine will also be given. Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Dr. R.S. Pandey told that preparations are being made for this before the monsoon.

    Vaccination work is going on at a rapid pace by the assistant veterinary doctor in every village. So far 25 such camps have been organized and this camp will continue till July 15. He has appealed to the cattle rearers and villagers to get their animals vaccinated so that animals can be protected from such deadly diseases. He said that vaccination is free and medicines are also given. The work of vaccination is going on as per the intention of the government. Vaccination work was done for the prevention of Galghotu Ek Tangia disease by organizing a free veterinary camp in village Acholi Mahasamund on 21st June. A total of 701 animals were vaccinated and 31 animals were treated, 40 medicines were distributed, 67 animals were dewormed in the said camp. All field staff of Veterinary Hospital Tumgaon and Dispensary Bhoring were present in the said camp.

    The victimized Pade family has been earning their livelihood for the last many years by making bricks. For the last 25 years, we have been living on the land given by the elders adjacent to the government pond located in the village. The family alleges that Baldidih’s sarpanch husband is trying to evict them by calling them occupiers. The sarpanch husband has demolished the septic and gate as well as the way to the house by driving a JCB, saying that their house is illegal. The family told that a few months ago an application was given to the Collector of the district on this matter, after which the Collector directed the Patwari. Then the patwari had asked the sarpanch to remove the soil and get the gate installed, but it had no effect on the sarpanch and her husband.
