    Gujarat: Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi inaugurates Veraval ST and Kodinar Depot Workshops

    An ST workshop will be set up at Veraval in Gir Somnath district at a cost of Rs 4.48 crore and a workshop at Kodinar at a cost of Rs 4.11 crore. In which other advanced facilities including admin room, electric room, rest room, DM office will be available.

    Plan to allot another 125 new buses this week

    Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi inaugurated the foundation stone (Khatmuhurt) of ST workshop at Veraval in Gir Somnath district and e-Khatmuhurt of Kodinar depot workshop. The Gujarat government has allocated 600 new buses to the state in just 150 days and plans to allocate another 125 new buses this week. On this occasion, Harsh Sanghvi said that the government is determined to provide best facilities including transport in remote areas.

    125 more new buses to be allotted in a week

    Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi inaugurated the newly constructed Veraval ST Depot Workshop and e-inaugurated the Kodinar Depot Workshop by the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister of State for Home said that Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation has inaugurated various projects at Veraval and Kodinar depots. So that the villages in the interior areas of Gir Somnath district have good infrastructure to facilitate transportation. The new government led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has allocated 600 new buses to the state in just 150 days and plans to allocate 125 more this week. So that more and more remote villages can be connected with better bus facility.

    So that students and elders can get the facility of transportation easily.

    Harsh Sanghvi said that planning has been done with this vision of the government, so that students and elders can get the facility of transportation easily. The government is committed to provide best facilities including public transport and integrate these areas into the mainstream of development. It may be noted that Veraval Depot Workshop will be constructed over an area of 22,808 square meters at an estimated cost of Rs 4 crore 48 lakh and Kodinar Depot Workshop will be constructed over an area of 21,487 square meters at an estimated cost of Rs 4 crore 11 lakh. The workshop will have many modern facilities including service pit, admin room, electric room, battery room, oil room, rest room, DM office. On this occasion, along with MP Rajesh Chudasama, officers and employees of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation were also present.

    Significantly, the mega textile park to be built on 1142 acres at Vansi Borsi in South Gujarat will have important activities related to textile industry like dyeing, printing, weaving, spinning, texturizing, packaging, value addition, technical textiles, machinery manufacturing. This park will prove to be a lifeline for Gujarat’s textile industry, as the environment is very suitable for man-made fibers and other aspects of textiles in the entire country, especially in South Gujarat, especially in Surat. Under this scheme, the central government will provide a CIS amount of about Rs 300 crore for the establishment of textile units.
