    Two Men Arrested For Forcibly Converting A Minor Girl At Gunpoint

    A case of molesting a minor girl and threatening to convert to Islam by showing her a fake gun has come to light. On the complaint of the girl’s mother, a case has been registered against two people in Bhayandar police station under Sections 354, 354 (A), 366 (A), 506 and Sections 8, 12 of the POCSO Act. The police have arrested two men.

    The victim is 13 years old and lives in Bhayandar. On June 12, Munawwar Mansoori allegedly took the girl to the terrace of a building at around 8.30 pm and asked her to be ready with a burqa, chain and ring. The girl was reportedly asked to come wearing a veil, but the victim refused. Munawwar then allegedly threatened the victim by showing her a fake pistol and said he would shoot her if she did not wear a burqa and convert to Islam.

    When the victim told her mother about the incident, a complaint was registered and the Bhayandar police arrested Munawwar Ansari (20) and Azim Mansoori (18) on charges of molestation. A case has been registered under Sections 354, 354(A) 506 and Sections 8, 12 of the POCSO Act. Both the accused have been arrested and sent to police custody.

    The Mira road zone 1 DCP Jayant Bajbole said, “A case of molestation and forcing a minor girl to accept Islam was reported in Bhayandar police station, in which police immediately registered a case under IPC Sections 354 and POCSO and also arrested the two accused in this case. In the investigation, it was revealed that they used a fake weapon and were forcing the girl to convert into Islam. They also molested her. Police has seized the fake weapon and arrested the accused.”

    Lucknow (IANS) | A minor girl set herself ablaze after being repeatedly harassed by a youth in Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh. The girl was taken to a hospital in Jalaun, where she was referred to Jhansi on Thursday night. His condition is said to be critical.

    Inspector-in-charge of the case Sameer Kumar Singh said, “The police have expedited the process of nabbing the youth by registering a case against the unknown accused on the complaint of the minor girl’s father.”

    The victim’s father said in his statement, “From the beginning of this week, a young man named Nikki started harassing my daughter over phone. He used to torture my daughter every day. Fed up with this repeated harassment, he locked himself in a room and set it on fire.

    The accused also used to send obscene clips to the girl.

    Based on the complaint, the police had started investigation in the matter. The police started the investigation, but nothing was found about Deepak. He had eloped with the girl. Meanwhile, a few days later it was found that the accused Deepak was hiding in Bangalore. After this the police went there and raided. Then the accused is arrested. The girl has also been rescued from him. During interrogation, the accused has also accepted his crime.

    Bhubaneswar: The accused, who was on the run after killing a minor girl at Kuio village under Sadar police limits in Angul district earlier this month, has been arrested by Odisha police from Chhattisgarh.

    A special team of Angul district police arrested Ranjan Behera, the accused. However, the reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.

    It is to be noted here that Behera killed the minor girl, Khusi Sahu, by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon by forcibly entering her house on May 8. He fled from the spot after committing the crime.

    The family members immediately rescued Khusi in a critical state and rushed her to the Angul district headquarters hospital (DHH). However, she breathed her last while undergoing treatment.

    On being informed, the Sadar police had started an investigation into the matter. The cops had launched a manhunt to nab the accused and subsequently, they arrested him from Chhattisgarh yesterday.

    The police could trace and arrested the accused after he posted some photos of him with the girl on Facebook, said sources adding that the district police likely to conduct a press conference and brief more details about the crime.

    Balasore: A Court in Balasore convicted the biological mother and stepfather of a minor girl in Balasore of Odisha on Thursday and awarded them life imprisonment. The Court also ordered both of them to pay a fine of Rs 5000 each and in case the fine amount is not paid, they shall have to undergo six months of additional jail term.

    The accused persons convicted today have been identified as Baby Biwi and Abdul Rahim.

    As per reports, in a shocking incident, the biological mother of the girl and her second husband killed the 13-year-old girl in 2022. Later, the deceased girl’s biological father Sheikh Qutbuddin lodged a complaint on 28, June 2022 about the murder at the Town Police Station in Balasore.

    Accordingly, the case was under trial in the Court. Today, the Court issued the order in this matter and convicted the couple with life imprisonment. On behalf of the State of Odisha, Public Prosecutor Pranab Kumar Panda was conducting the case.

    The body of a 15-year-old girl, suspected to be raped and murdered, was found at a locality in Malda district on Tuesday morning.

    Hours later, a youth was arrested for his alleged role in the case.

    The incident comes close on the heels of recurring violence in a North Dinajpur village over allegations that a 17-year-old girl was raped and killed last Friday.

    Sources said some residents spotted the girl’s body and informed the police who sent it to Malda Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy.

    The girl was missing since Monday afternoon and her family members, after searching for her, had informed the police.

    Though the autopsy would confirm the cause of death, sources said it appeared the girl was throttled.

    On Tuesday, supporters of the BJP and some Left parties reached MMCH and demonstrated there.

    In the evening, Malda police chief Pradeep Kumar Yadav said they arrested a youth. “Interrogations are on,” he said.

    The deceased knew the youth who was arrested, sources said.
