Passengers are stuck at various places due to the closure of roads. 59 roads are closed due to rain in Uttarakhand. According to the Public Works Department, 31 of these roads are of PMGSY.

    Out of the roads closed due to rain, 28 roads are under PWD. Lonivi Chief Engineer Ashok Kumar told that efforts are on to open the roads. He told, 78 roads were already closed, 45 were closed on Tuesday. 64 roads were opened on Tuesday, the work of opening 59 is in progress.

    Due to the dilapidated condition of most of the internal roads of New Tehri city, people are facing a lot of problems. On behalf of the people of the city, several times the municipal administration was demanded to improve the condition of the roads, but the roads could not be improved.
