    Fighting in Pune’s Yerwada Central Jail, dozens of prisoners injured

    Pune (IANS) | At least a dozen inmates were injured in a sudden scuffle at the historic Yerwada Central Jail (YCJ) on Monday. Official sources gave this information here on Tuesday. The scuffle started over a minor issue and soon escalated into a riot-like situation in one of the country’s most famous Central Jails, leaving over a dozen inmates injured.

    The jail guards and other inmates soon managed to bring the situation under control and peace returned.

    Some prisoners received minor injuries, some others suffered more serious injuries. The seriously injured prisoners are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

    The Central Jail authorities lodged a complaint at the nearby Yerwada police station. Police have named around 15 accused involved in the violence.

    Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt spent time as a celeb-convict in this jail till his release in February 2016.

    Independent activists claim that the prison has a capacity of around 2,500, but it is currently overcrowded with over 6,000 inmates and incidents such as this are common, with fights breaking out even over trivial matters.

    Despite repeated attempts, the jail authorities were not available for comment in the matter.

    Bhubaneswar: Puri-Gangasagar Divya Kashi Yatra Bharat Gaurav Train was flagged off by Minister of State for Railways Raosaheb Danve from Pune station on Friday.

    The nine nights, 10 days tour package, offered by the IRCTC will cover religious destinations in Puri, Kolkata, Gaya, Varanasi and Prayagraj. The passengers will get to see famous temples and other pilgrimage places such as Jagannath Temple in Puri, Sun Temple at Konark, Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar, Kali Bari at Kolkata and Ganga Sagar, Vishnu Pad Temple and Bodh Gaya at Gaya, Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Ganga Ghat at Varanasi and Triveni Sangam at Prayagraj.

    These theme-based trains have been conceptualised to showcase the rich cultural and religious heritage of Bharat to the domestic tourists as well as to the international tourists.

    Pune: Four people were killed and 18 others injured after a truck rammed into a bus in Maharashtra’s Pune district on Sunday, police said.

    The accident took place at around 2 am near a temple off the Mumbai-Bengaluru national highway, they said.

    As the private passenger bus heading from Satara to Dombivli in Thane reached near the Swaminarayan temple, a truck coming from behind rammed into it, a police official said.

    Maharashtra. The incidents of heart attack are continuously increasing in the country. Be it an elderly or an adult and now even children have started falling prey to it. The latest case has come from Maharashtra. A 14-year-old boy died of a major heart attack in Pune. This child had gone to play cricket in the field. The incident is from Hadaspar area of Pune and the name of the child has been told as Vedant Dhamangaonkar. Actually, as soon as the summer vacation started, Vedant went to play cricket with his friends. At that time suddenly he had chest pain, so he informed his father about it. His father immediately admitted him to a nearby hospital but the doctors there asked him to go to another hospital.
    On reaching another hospital, the doctors there declared Vedant dead. Doctors told that Vedant died due to severe heart attack. Doctors confirmed that Vedant died of natural causes. Because of which a case of accidental death was registered at Wanwadi police station. The news of the death of a mere 14-year-old boy from a heart attack spread like wildfire in the area and everyone was shocked. On the other hand, the whole family is in shock due to Vedant’s sudden death.
    Children also at risk of heart attack
    Two coronary veins circulate blood in the heart. Along with these, oxygen also goes to the heart. It is very important to keep the heart muscle alive, but as soon as the blood circulation suddenly stops. Only then the muscles of the heart get damaged. Such a condition is called heart attack. Heart attacks are very rare in children, unless there is an underlying disease of the heart muscle. According to experts, health conditions only increase the chances of heart attack in children.
