    Raipur. Thieves raided three empty houses in the capital. 7 lakh cash including gold and silver jewelery kept in the cupboard has been crossed. The residents of all the three houses had gone out. Police said that there was a marriage in the family of Chandrashekhar Sonkar, posted in the Railways.

Siddharth Ashatkar and the applicant came inside the shop thinking that they were customers, then one of the three persons started groping the almirah and drawer of the shop and started throwing away the goods. What happened to Siddharth Ashtkar, why are you doing this, when asked, all three told, threatening the applicant and asked him to stand aside and took the applicant’s mobile phone, then a person was pulling Siddharth Ashatkar, whom Siddharth was stopping. When all the three people grabbed Siddharth Ashatkar by force, took him out of the shop and put him in his car and drove towards Danganiya, then the applicant went to Siddharth Ashatkar’s house and told his family about the incident. On which crime number 279/23 Section 365, 364(A), 394, 120B Bhadvi was registered against unknown accused in police station DD Nagar. Offense was registered.

While tracing the accused by the team members, both the accused were caught from Mirzapur and Sonbhadra in Uttar Pradesh. During interrogation, it was told by the accused that both of them and 03 people including their other accomplice were called by Raj Tomar to Raipur by taking an Enova vehicle from Gwalior to kidnap them and on the date of the incident, all together kidnapped Siddharth Ashtkar from his father on 01 Had demanded a ransom of crores of rupees, but in the meantime, in view of the strict blockade of the police and the continuous detection of the abducted, under pressure from them, the abducted Siddharth Ashatkar escaped leaving him at Dashrangpur in Kawardha district. Both the accused Varun Tripathi and Nilesh Upadhyay were arrested and action was taken against them by seizing 02 mobile phones used in the incident from their possession. 01 other accused involved in the incident is absconding, every possible effort is being made to trace and arrest him.

According to the police, Dinesh Nishad lodged a report in the Police Station Civil Line that he lives in Kareli Chowki Magarlod Dhamtari. The applicant had come to Katora Talab Raipur on 10.06.2023 for necessary work. Where a person named Shiv Prasad and Anil Gupta met the applicant and told that they have a scheme to double the amount, they soaked a black note of twenty rupees in water and showed it as a note, due to which the applicant doubled the amount under their guise. 30,000/- was given to him in the greed of doing so, on which he left from there by giving the applicant a note-like paper painted black. On which after some time the applicant saw the black colored note soaked in water, apart from 04 notes, all the ordinary paper soaked in black color came out. In this way, the applicant was cheated of Rs.30,000/- by the above two persons on the pretext of doubling the amount. On which crime number 284/2023 Section 420, 34 Bhadvi was registered against both the accused in Pandari police station. Offense was registered.

    Taking the incident of cheating seriously by Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Agarwal, Additional Superintendent of Police/Crime Abhishek Maheshwari, Deputy Superintendent of Police Crime Dinesh Sinha, City Superintendent of Police Civil Line Manoj Dhruv, In-charge Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Station In-charge Civil Line Directed to trace the accused and arrest them at the earliest. On which, under the direction of senior officers, the joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Thana Civil Line Police started tracing the accused by making detailed inquiries from the applicant regarding the incident and the features of the accused. Taking quick action by the team members, CCTVs installed around the incident site. Observing the footage of the cameras, the accused involved in the case, Shivprasad Manhare and Anil Gupta, were identified and caught and strictly interrogated, and the accused accepted the said incident of cheating. On which both the accused were arrested and action was taken against them. Accused Shivprasad Manhare has also been jailed in the cases of fake notes from Jaijaipur district power station and Ganj Raipur police station in the past.
