Members of the Mankani family of Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh were harassing and threatening to kill their daughter-in-law for not giving a Fortuner car and Rs 25 lakh in cash in dowry. On the complaint of the woman, a case was registered against husband, brother-in-law, mother-in-law and father-in-law in Itarsi police station.

    According to the police, the complainant Shalini’s husband Rohit Mankani (34) is a resident of Anupam Nagar Rajnandgaon Chhattisgarh. The latest destination is Malviyaganj Itarsi. About 3 years ago, the complainant was married to Rohit Mankani of Rajnandgaon. Since marriage, her husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law were asking for Fortuner car and Rs 25 lakh in cash. Her family, husband, mother-in-law and brother-in-law were harassing her for not getting the car and money. Used to beat him by abusing him. The woman complained about this at the Itarsi police station. After investigation, the police registered a case against the woman’s husband Rohit father Gyanchand Mankani, Vishal father Gyanchand Mankani, father-in-law Gyanchand father Sajandas Mankani and mother-in-law Vandana husband Gyanchand Mankani.

    When Mithun Banerjee asked for the money back, the woman kept saying that for a few days, she would arrange the money in a short time and return the money. Still the woman did not return the money and her attitude changed. When Mithun demanded the money back, the woman threatened to implicate him in a false rape case. Due to which Mithun Banerjee gave a complaint against the woman in Basantpur police station. On which the Basantpur police has registered a crime of extortion and threatening against the accused woman and the search is on for the arrest of the woman.
