Within 15 days of the incident, the Lalbagh police had arrested the accused woman. 4-year-old Dimple Nirmalkar, a resident of Bhanpuri, suddenly went missing on February 8. After the complaint, the police, family members and villagers started searching for Dimple.

    Dimple’s dead body was found in a bag in Parrinala area. When the police started investigating, Dimple’s locket was found in the house of 25-year-old Aarti Sahu, who lives in her neighborhood. The police interrogated Aarti in custody. In which he accepted the murder of Dimple. Accused woman Aarti had told the police that Dimple and her daughter used to play together, during which Dimple used to make her cry. Enraged by this, she took Dimple to her room and killed her by banging her head on the wooden bed. After the arrest of Aarti, the hearing of the case was going on in the Additional Sessions Judge Fast Track Court, after completion of the hearing, the court sentenced the accused Aarti to life imprisonment. Public prosecutor Aditya Prakash Srivastava pleaded the case.
