    Railway Minister Raosaheb Patil Danve zonal performance review meeting

    Hyderabad: Raosaheb Patil Danve, Minister of State (MoS), Railways, Coal, and Mines, along with senior officers of SouthCentral Railway, conducted a review meeting on Wednesday to assess the zone’s performance.

    During the meeting, the progress of the upgradation of Secunderabad, Tirupati, and Nellore Railway Stations was reviewed, as well as the development works at Jalna, Nanded, and Aurangabad railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. He evaluated the provision of passenger amenities, such as lifts, escalators, parking facilities, train display boards, and coach display boards. He advised officials and staff to ensure the proper functioning of these services and take further steps to maintain cleanliness, promote a green environment, and digitize working systems throughout the zone.

    In addition, there was a detailed discussion on the progress of sanctioning and commissioning of Road Under Bridges (RuB) and Road Over Bridges (RoB) on the zone. He assessed pending tasks and instructed officials to expedite the works, holding regular meetings with contractors and state government authorities to avoid any delays.

    The meeting also highlighted the appreciation for the One Station One Product initiative, which provides a market and creates more opportunities for local artisans. Emphasis was also placed on Gati Shakti, a National Master plan for Multi-Modal Connectivity.

    Hyderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) conducted a review meeting on the safety of train operations across the Zone on Monday.

    During the meeting, the primary focus was on enhancing the supervision of freight trains and conducting frequent field inspections to ensure compliance with worksite safety requirements without fail. Officials urged that the field-level staff at goods sheds and sidings should be sensitised frequently on all aspects of safety.

    Meanwhile, works for various developmental projects targeted for completion this year were asked to speed up which includes including doubling, triple lines, electrification and station redevelopment works across the zone.

    Rangareddy: District Collector Harish chaired a crucial review meeting at the Rangareddy District Collectorate meeting hall on Thursday. The meeting aimed to assess the progress of the various development projects undertaken in Shankarpalli mandal under the Rurban scheme. During the gathering, Collector meticulously scrutinised the ongoing works and emphasised the need for their expeditious completion. Addressing the concerned officials, he urged them to prioritise the pending tasks and ensure they are promptly executed, adhering to the allocated resources and timelines. District Rural Development Department Officer Prabhakar, EE PR, and other officials were present.

    Hyderabad: Ahead of the holy month of Ramzan, Minority Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar has directed the officials concerned to take adequate measures for the celebration of Ramzan and instructed them that the arrangements should be put in place for the convenience of people in the city.

    A high-level meeting was held on Monday, by Minister Koppula Eshwar. Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Labour Minister Mallareddy, Government Advisor AK Khan, AIMIM MLAs Jaffer Hussain Meraj (Nampally), Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala (Malakpet), Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri (Yakutpura), Mumtaz Ahmed Khan (Charminar), Telangana State Wakf Board Chairman Masiullah Khan, Police commissioner C V Anand, senior officials from GHMC, HMWSSB, TSSPDCL and other departments were present in the meeting.

    Minister Koppula Eshwar said that since the formation of Telangana State, the government was making adequate arrangements for all the festivals. He directed to take up the road repair, sanitation and lighting arrangement works near mosques to ensure that people may not face any inconvenience during the holy month of Ramzan. Directions were also issued to the concerned department to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply during the holy month. The water works officials were directed to take steps to ensure uninterrupted water supply. As the Iftar parties are organized regularly in the mosques, the waste disposals should be arranged adequately and the garbage should be cleared from time to time under the supervision of sanitary officers, the Minister added.

    Hyderabad: The South Central Railway(SCR) conducted a detailed review meeting on safety, punctuality and freight loading operations of the zone on Monday.

    Arun Kumar Jain, SCR GMexamined the division-wise punctuality statistics and instructed the officials to identify the root causes for issues affecting punctuality and take remedial steps to improve the performance. Officials were also asked to make an action plans for optimal utilisation of manpower during traffic blocks which will help to avoid detentions. Apart from this, the railway officials were instructed to identify and monitor the trains which lost punctuality and take appropriate measures for improving their operations.

    On the safety aspect, The GMadvised the officials to analyse the compliance with guidelines and procedures at work sites at regular intervals to keep track of the effectiveness of safety drives being conducted throughout the zone. Later a detailed review meeting was conducted on the freight loading performance of the zone. Extra efforts will be put to ensure the seamless running of freight trains so as to meet the requirements of freight customers and also ensure maximum freight loading for the current financial year.
