    Mumbai’s minor girl raped by taxi driver, case registered

    Shimla. A case of misbehavior with a minor girl by a taxi driver has come to light in Kufri, a famous tourist destination adjacent to the capital Shimla. The victim’s father has lodged a complaint in this regard at the police station.

    The Theog police have started further proceedings by registering an FIR under Section 376 of the IPC and POCSO Act on the complaint of the victim’s father. The family of the victim has provided the vehicle number of the accused taxi driver to the police. Please tell that the victim is a resident of Mumbai. According to information, the victim’s family had come on a trip to Shimla from April 8 to April 15. On April 12, the family reached a hotel in Kufri in a taxi bearing Haryana number. The taxi driver is from outside Himachal.

    In the late evening of April 13, he made the victim sit alone in a taxi on the pretext of a site scene. After this, the accused took the victim to a different place and raped her. Later, when the victim’s family returned to Mumbai, the victim disclosed the matter. After this, a case was registered at Goregran police station in Mumbai. The case was sent to Theog police station under zero FIR by the police there. The police is probing the case and looking for the accused.

    Shimla. A two-storey house was gutted in Dhawan village of Goro Kanawan ward of Shoghi Panchayat in capital Shimla. However, the cause of the fire is said to be short circuit. Same, 2 water tankers of fire department and local people saved other houses from coming in the grip of fire.
    According to information, the fire broke out due to short circuit in the two-storey house of Nek Ram and Durga Singh. After which all the family members and cattle had gone out of the house in time.
    The house was burnt to ashes in no time. An amount of Rs 15,000 has been given to Nek Ram and Durga Singh as immediate relief by the administration. However, fortunately, there was no loss of life in the accident.

    The body of a 17-year-old boy, who was reportedly missing for a month, was found near the police post at Kasumpti in the district today. The bereaved family members and relatives staged a protest outside the DC’s office here alleging police inaction.

    The family members from Sirmaur carried Abhishek’s body to different parts of the city before reaching the DC’s office. They then raised slogans against the police alleging negligence on their part.

    Abhishek had come to his relative’s place in Shimla and was undergoing treatment for some disease. His family said Abhishek was missing for over a month now but the police could not find him. They alleged that he was murdered and gave the names of some suspects to the police, demanding their arrest.

    The family also sought strict action against Kasumpti police officials investigating the matter.

    The chief minister presented Sonia Gandhi a memoir of traditional musical instruments.They would stay at Vadra’s house at Chhabra in the vicinity of the Rashtrapati Niwas ‘The Retreat’.

    The house, which is a blend of English and hill architecture, has grey slate roofs and is located amidst serene surroundings of thick deodar forests.

    In Himachal Pradesh, 10 MW of electricity will be generated from the roofs of the houses in the next eight months. Snow Energy Department has started the work to achieve the target. The Central Government has given this target to the Snow Energy Department. The special thing is that the central and state government will also pay subsidy to generate electricity on the house roofs. In these, the central government has made a provision of subsidy up to 40 percent, while the state government has fixed a provision of six thousand rupees for the domestic plant. If Himachal achieves this target in January 2024, then the additional target from the Center will be fixed after 2024. At present, for the last two years, the Snow Energy Department is emphasizing on generating rooftop solar power. In this, the central government has also made a provision of 40 percent subsidy for domestic consumers from one to three kilowatts while 10 to 20 percent subsidy from three to 10 kilowatts. Talking about Snow Energy Department, up to three kilowatts, 50 thousand per kilowatt will have to be paid while from three to ten kilowatts, the rate of Rs.48600 will have to be paid.

    Shimla: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla visited the Leprosy Ashram at Kotlan Khurd in Una district on Sunday. About 40 leprosy patients are living with their families in this ashram run by Maa Chinnamastika Leprosy Shelter Society.

    On this occasion, the Governor appreciated the efforts of Kotlan Khurd Panchayat Pradhan Mamta Rani and the district administration for serving the leprosy patients. Special care is being taken of cleanliness here and leprosy patients are also taking proper medicine. He also called for providing proper education to the children of the residents here. He said that due to proper treatment, the number of such patients has decreased today. He said that he has been associated with such ashrams in Uttar Pradesh, and is well aware of their problems.

    He gave necessary instructions to the district administration to remove the difficulties of the residents and said that he would personally try for their accommodation.     Shimla, New Delhi: According to the latest report of the Association for Democratic Reforms, currently 29 out of 30 Chief Ministers are crorepatis. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s name is at the top of this list. At number two is Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu, while West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has the least assets, according to the report. According to ADR, Himachal Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu’s total assets are Rs 7.81 crore and he is at number 17 in the list of richest chief ministers of the country. Along with this, he is having a liability of more than Rs 22 lakh. According to the report, a total of four cases are registered against CM Sukhu, out of which only one is of serious crime. ADR and Election Watch came to this conclusion after analyzing the affidavits filed by 30 sitting chief ministers of states and union territories. After analyzing the affidavits of 30 Chief Ministers, ADR found that 29 i.e. 97 percent of the Chief Ministers are crorepatis.

    Each of these chief ministers has an average of Rs 33.96 crore in assets. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is the richest. He has assets worth Rs 510.38 crore. On the second number is Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu, who has assets worth 163.50 crores. It is followed by Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik with 63.87 crores. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal have assets worth Rs.3 crore each. After this Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan and Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar have assets worth one crore each. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has the least assets. Mamta Banerjee has assets worth only 15 lakhs.

    13 out of 30 CMs have serious criminal cases

    Out of 30 Chief Ministers of the country, 13 i.e. 43 percent have criminal cases registered against them under serious sections. It also includes cases like murder, attempt to murder and kidnapping. Serious criminal cases are non-bailable offenses with jail term of more than five years, the report said.
