    Sonipat. Police arrested a miscreant wearing a bullet proof jacket on Thursday at Ahir Majra turn on Khubdu road in Gannaur. Two loaded pistols and 33 cartridges have been recovered from the arrested youth. He was riding on a motorcycle without number. When the police asked him after overpowering him, he was identified as Abhay alias Bunty of the arrested village Atayal. Police has registered a case against him in Gannaur police station. Police is inquiring whether he was going to commit any crime with a weapon.

    Constable Naresh Kumar, appointed at Gannaur police station, told that he along with his team was patrolling near village Ahir Majra on Gannaur-Khubdu road. During this, information was received from reliable sources that a young man was coming from Khubdu towards Gannaur riding on a bike without number. The youth has illegal weapons.

    After giving information to the top officials, the police team made a blockade near Ahir Majra. When the young man came, he was stopped, when asked his name and address, he gave his identity as Abhay alias Bunty, a resident of Atayal village. When the police searched Abhay alias Bunty, he was found wearing a bullet proof jacket inside his shirt. At the same time, a country-made pistol was found from one pocket of his paint, in which one cartridge was loaded, while another country-made pistol was found from the other pocket, which had 5 cartridges loaded in its magazine.

    New Delhi (IANS) | After a chase of hundreds of kilometers in the NCR and Uttar Pradesh, the Delhi Police has finally arrested the man from Haryana’s Sonepat who shot dead a lawyer in Delhi’s Dwarka recently, an official said on Saturday. Gave this information to The accused has been identified as Pradeep alias Praveen (39), a resident of Narela. He has earlier also been found involved in 12 criminal cases registered across the city.

    On April 1, a 53-year-old lawyer was shot dead by two bike-borne assailants in Delhi’s Dwarka area. The official said that the deceased was identified as Virendra Kumar, a resident of Sector-12, Dwarka and his security was withdrawn in 2021 after following due process.

    Special Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Singh Yadav said that during the investigation it emerged that Pradeep and Naresh were involved in the incident, there was a dispute going on between them and the deceased. The Special CP said, in view of the sensitivity of the case, various teams of the crime branch were also tasked to trace and arrest the accused persons. The accused switched off the phone and did not use any gadget.

    While gathering information, the police team came to know that the suspect Pradeep was driving a white colored Accent car. To track him, the team immediately sent personnel to all possible exit points, toll booths and border areas equipped with cameras, said the Special CP.

    The officer said- Policemen have been deployed at toll booths along the possible routes. Despite the accused constantly changing his location, the team developed the information manually and followed him through NCR, UP and Haryana, traveling hundreds of kilometers every day. Eventually Pradeep was arrested from Bhalgarh area of Sonipat.

    During interrogation, it was revealed that the family of the accused had a property dispute with Virendra. Pradeep along with his associates tried to kill the deceased advocate in 2017, for which a case was registered at Prashant Vihar police station, the officer said.

    Haryana: A canter driver was shot dead on Monday afternoon on Kishora Road near Kumaspur village of Sonipat. After the incident, the villagers reached the spot and informed the police about the matter. After getting the information, the police reached the spot, took the dead body into custody and got it kept in the mortuary of the civil hospital. At present, the police is engaged in the investigation of the case.

    Sumit, a resident of Kumaspur village, told that his brother Amit alias Chikku (33) was walking towards village Kishora. He was a canter driver. Two unknown youths who came riding on a bike from Kishora’s side killed her by firing five bullets. After executing the incident, the youth riding the bike fled from the spot. Seeing the dead body lying on the road, the villagers informed the relatives and the police about the incident. After getting the information, the police and FSL team reached the spot and started the investigation. Along with this, Bahalgarh police station took the body into custody and got it kept in the mortuary of the civil hospital.
