    Pancham Singh Thakur, a resident of Phokatpara, was suffering from cancer. He did not get relief even after getting treatment at many places. There was also a problem in eating and drinking. That’s why he used to be very upset. Meanwhile, he had suddenly left the house on Saturday morning. After that nothing was known about him.

    It was told that his dead body was found in several pieces on the tracks in the evening near the Sarvamangala Mandir railway bridge. After which the police was informed. Neighbors were also informed. After which investigation has been started in the matter. The police got the post-mortem done and handed over the dead body to the relatives. Investigation is on in the matter.

    During the days of struggle, the economic condition of his family became so bad that they became dependent on food grains. Dilharan realized after all the struggle that justice would not be served. That’s why he ate poison. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he died during treatment. Dilharan Patel’s son Amar Patel told that his father used to get upset seeing the family in financial crisis. He took this step out of desperation. Took land from the villagers but did not give compensation. It is noteworthy that in Korba district itself, there are hundreds of Dilharan Patels, whose land was made landless by taking it in the name of a mine.
