Surat: Incidents of dog bites increased, vaccination and surgery of stray dogs increased

Arrangement increased in DC (Dog Center) center

The menace of stray dogs has increased a lot in Surat city. Stray dogs bite passers-by every day. Mad dogs also roam around the city indiscriminately and bite, which also increases the chances of death. The DC center has been set up in Surat’s Bhestan area. In which deworming and vaccination of dogs is done and the system of keeping stray dogs in cages has also been increased.

65-70 operations are being done daily

In Surat city, the municipal corporation is now taking vigorous action to catch dogs and the number of deworming and vaccination operations has also been doubled. Under normal circumstances only 30 to 35 dog operations were done daily in the DC center of Surat Municipal Corporation, but now this number has been increased to 65 to 70 operations daily to control dog bite incidents.

Teams have been deployed in every zone

Upper Market Superintendent Dr. Rajesh Gelani told that earlier Surat Municipal Corporation had a total of 42 cages to keep dogs in the DC Center, which has now been increased to a total of 97 cages, due to which the capacity and center to keep dogs in DC has increased. has also increased. Earlier it could accommodate 432 dogs but now it can accommodate more than 522 dogs. Earlier there used to be a team of two doctors but now its number has been doubled. Now, instead of 30 to 35 operations per day, a total of 65 to 70 operations for detoxification and vaccination are being performed by four doctors. Dog catching teams are working in every zone.

Surat: Adani engineering student wins national award in robotics

More than 1700 competitors from 372 teams from across India participated in the e-Yantra robotics competition at IIT Bombay. The AIIE team emerged victorious and won the National Championship title. Since 2018, AIIE of Gujarat has been placed in A category based on its performance in competition with over 500 institutes across the country.

Adani Institute of Infrastructure Engineering (AIIE) has embarked on an extraordinary seven-month journey as four students, Kushal Mehta, Tatya Karia, Jisha Naik and Mohd Arsh Wahora, participated in the e-Yantra robotics competition. E-Yantra is a robotics outreach program organized by IIT Bombay and sponsored by the Ministry of Education.

The students were shortlisted among 1700+ participants from across India after a challenging elimination round that leveraged resources to hone technical and soft skills. Being declared the top 5 performers in the competition, he was made a contender to succeed the championship.

Adani Institute of Infrastructure Engineering (AIIE) team

The efforts of the students to meet the challenge of the theme ‘Krishi Naav’ were remarkable. The topic is to build a robot that can navigate and harvest agricultural produce in the cities of the future. The team took advantage of their extensive knowledge of a number of robotics-related technologies, such as Gazebo, MoveIT, OpenCV and Git, a robot operating system, to create algorithms for the robot’s navigation perception and manipulation.

Apart from the students, the mentorship guidance of the faculty of AIIE has been commendable. Expressing happiness over the achievement of the students, Professor Anupam Kumar Singh, Principal, AIIE said, “Our institute strives to inculcate team spirit, analytical and logical approach in the students. This competition has provided a perfect platform to inculcate those qualities in our students. We are happy with their results.

IIT Bombay has been declared Grade A Institute since 2018 in recognition of the excellent effort of AIIE. With this AIIE has become the only educational institute in Gujarat. The team from Adani Institute of Infrastructure Engineering is the only representative from Gujarat to reach the finals after winning the national title.

Surat: Visuals of huge crowd at ST Depot after completing Junior Clerk exam

Due to the large number of candidates coming together at ST Depot, there was chaos for some time.

Special preparation by ST Corporation

Surat ST Corporation has made special preparation for the candidates keeping in mind the Junior Clerk exam. Additional buses had already been parked in the ground next to the Surat bus station by the ST Corporation. Additional buses passing through different villages were run for all the districts including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Anand, Tapi, Dang, Navsari. The additional buses proved to be very effective as the candidates reached the ST depot and left for their respective homes.

Surat ST Circle Director P.V. Gurjar told that the Surat ST department had decided to run more than 150 additional buses for the examination of junior clerk.
