    Stalin laid the foundation stone of Porunai Museum

    Chennai (IANS) | Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday laid the foundation stone of the Porunai Museum through video conferencing from his office at the Secretariat on International Museum Day. The Government of Tamil Nadu has allotted 13.02 acres of land for the Porunai Museum.

    In the first phase, the museum will be built in an area of 55 thousand square feet at a cost of Rs 33 crore. The museum, to be built with world-class standards, will display 2,617 rare artefacts collected from Adichanallur, Korkai and Sivakalai.

    Stalin also launched two books ‘Tamizh Natta Panipatta Marabugal’ and ‘Pudukottai Vattaram’ during the event.

    State Public Works Minister EV Velu, Finance and Archeology Minister Thangam Thennarasu and State Chief Secretary V. Irai Ambu were present during the ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s Office at the Secretariat.

    Stalin files defamation case against Tamil Nadu BJP president Annamalai

    Chennai (IANS) | Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Wednesday told state BJP president K.K. Filed a defamation case against Annamalai for making baseless allegations. Defamation case Public Prosecutor G. Devarajan has filed on behalf of the Chief Minister. According to the complaint, BJP state president K.K. Annamalai had given a defamatory statement in a press conference held on 14 April 2023.

    Videos of the press conference were uploaded and circulated on various social media platforms. Whose aim was to harm the reputation of Chief Minister Stalin.

    The complainant asked the court Annamalai and passed orders to punish him for the offenses under sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code.

    It is worth mentioning that on 14 April 2023, BJP state president Annamalai had accused the DMK government of corruption by releasing a video named ‘DMK Files’.

    Annamalai also leveled allegations against Stalin and his family, including Udhayanidhi Stalin, his son and Minister of State for Youth Welfare and Sports Development. The BJP president also leveled the allegations and said he would file a CBI complaint against the chief minister for alleged corruption in the Metro Rail Phase-I project in 2011.

    The BJP president also leveled big allegations against Stalin’s son-in-law Sabarisan and MP Kanimozhi. However, Stalin’s sister Kanimozhi has already given a defamation notice to Annamalai.
