A road accident took place in Repalle of Bapatla district where a lorry overturned while transporting Lime stone from Macherla to Repalle. Three people died in this accident which took place on the outskirts of Ravi Anantavaram and three others were injured. The injured were shifted to the government hospital in Raypalle. The deceased have been identified as belonging to Macherla of Palnadu district. The police have concluded that the driver was drowsy, which led to the accident.

Rod attack, three injured
Chandigarh: Three persons were injured in an attack with rods and sticks at Mauli Jagran. Complainant Abhishek, a resident of Charan Singh Colony, claimed Karan, Ravi, Rahul and Mohan attacked him and his brothers Basu and Kailash. The victims suffered injuries and were admitted to the GMCH-32. A case has been registered at the Mauli Jagran police station and an investigation initiated. TNS
Valuables stolen from house
Chandigarh: An unidentified person stole valuables and a purse from a house in Sector 22. Complainant Mukul alleged a laptop, two mobile phones and a purse containing Rs 2,200 in cash and documents were stolen from his house. A case has been registered. TNS
Two arrested for snatchings
Chandigarh: Two persons have been nabbed by the UT police for mobile snatching. Agam Singh of Sector 40 had reported that two motorcycle-borne persons had snatched his phone on the road separating Sector 55 and 56 on April 17. During investigation, Ankit Yadav (22) and Vishal (25), both residents of Mohali district, were nabbed and Agam’s phone, along with five more, recovered from them. Two killed, three injured after being hit by a car
Two persons were killed while three suffered injuries when the car they were travelling in rammed into a tree after allegedly being hit by another vehicle from the rear side on the NH-44 on Wednesday night.
The deceased were identified as Narottam Singh and Ajit Singh, while the injured were Vijay Kumar, Surjit Kumar and Pankaj, residents of Himachal Pradesh.
In his complaint to the police, Pankaj, a resident of Himachal Pradesh, stated that they were returning to HP after visiting Satlok Ashram in Rohtak. Vijay was driving, Pankaj was sitting next to him, while Surjit, Narottam and Ajit were sitting at the back.
It was around 9.40 pm near Sanwla village on the Pipli-Shahabad stretch when their car was hit by a speeding car from the rear due to which the driver lost control and the vehicle rammed into a tree.
The injured were taken to LNJP hospital where Narottam (85), and Ajit were declared dead. The remaining three were undergoing treatment.
The accused driver managed to flee the spot. A case has been registered at the Thanesar Sadar police station under Sections 279, 337 and 304-A of the IPC.

A car rammed into a standing tractor in Konaseema, one killed, three injured
A tragic incident took place in Dr BR Ambedkar’s Konaseema district where one person died in a road accident and three others, including a woman, were seriously injured.
According to the details, a serious road accident took place on the national highway of Alamuru mandal in Konaseema district after a car hit a tractor parked on the road. In this accident, the driver of the car died on the spot, while a woman and three others were seriously injured.
108 ambulance vehicle reached the spot immediately after receiving the information about the accident. The injured were shifted to Rajamahendravaram Government Hospital. At the time of the accident, another car rammed into the person riding the bike.
