    Police constable attacked with surgical blade, two arrested

    New Delhi : Police have arrested two brothers for allegedly attacking an on-duty Delhi Police Head Constable (HC) with a surgical blade in Mayapuri area. An official provided this information on Wednesday. According to the police, Head Constable Vikrant and Constable Harish were patrolling the slums of Rewari Line on Tuesday as part of an operation to nab active criminals.


    The officer said that when the two policemen were conducting a bad character (BC) check, Vikrant was attacked with a surgical blade by Vishal and his brother Krishna. However, Vikrant managed to fend off the attack but sustained an injury on his hand. Harish intervenes and they both manage to overpower Vishal and Krishna. A button knife was also recovered from Krishna during the search, the officer said. A case has been registered at Mayapuri police station. Simultaneously, the police arrested both the accused brothers. According to the police, Vishal is the BC of the area and Krishna was also involved in an old criminal case.

    Goods worth lakhs, tools and catapult have been recovered from the accused from Sihani Gate, Nagar Kotwali and Tronica City police station. According to the police, the gang members used to carry out incidents of theft, robbery and dacoity in Madhya Pradesh, UP and Delhi.
    DCP City Nipun Aggarwal told that on May 17, Nehru Nagar resident OP Aggarwal, on May 21, Rajat Singhal, a resident of Model Town, Nagar Kotwali area, and on May 28, goods worth lakhs were stolen from Lalit Kashyap’s house in Ansal Colony, Tronica City. The crime branch arrested Salim alias Salik, Virendra Punwar, Amber Punwar, Babbar alias Kala, Charan alias Baichen Pardi, Tau Pardi, Raghav Pardi, Dharmendra and Tintin, residents of Guna Madhya Pradesh, while disclosing the gang. Virender Punwar, Ambar Punwar and Babbar alias Kala are brothers in a relationship. While the other accused are also relatives and acquaintances. Apart from this, the police has also arrested goldsmith Amar Verma, a resident of Karawal Nagar, Delhi. Salim Pardi is the leader of the gang. In the year 2012, along with his accomplices, he looted the house of Dr. Sukhveer Singh, a resident of Niti Khand, Indirapuram. Taking the family hostage, the miscreants had looted goods worth 15 lakhs.

Research on how bio-fencing can be effective in preventing the damage caused by wild boar, elephant and monkeys should be our top priority. Instructing the officers to set up biofencing cells, the Chief Secretary said that a senior officer should be given the responsibility.

    Instructing the Chief Secretary to send the Annual Plan of Program Operation (APO) to the Central Government by the month of December, said that an annual calendar should be prepared to complete the schemes on time. All the works should be completed within the stipulated time limit. It was informed during the meeting that a budget of Rs 411.88 crore has been fixed for the Annual Plan of Operation (APO). In the meeting, a recommendation was made by the Steering Committee of Uttarakhand Campa.
