    Raipur. Passengers were greatly troubled by the poor system of railways in Raipur. The engine of the local train failed at Sarona railway station on Sunday evening. For 3 hours, the common passengers kept getting confused. People kept arguing with the station and train staff. No alternative arrangements were made for a long time. After this, the passengers were sent to different places by sending another train.

    The disturbance occurred in the local train going from Raipur to Dongargarh. The train stood at Sarona station for 3 hours. The passengers of Durg were sent by another local train. On the other hand, the passengers going ahead of Durg were sent by train going from Jhargusuguda to Gondia. The trains which were called later were made to stand on the non-platform track. Many people faced problems in boarding the train with their luggage. The bad train was standing on the platform. Then hours later, due to the train that came to take people, other trains passing through this track were delayed.

    Because of this, the passengers expressed their displeasure over the railway system. Raipur Dongargarh MEMU had left from Raipur on Sunday evening.

    Raipur. Traffic less power block will be taken in Bhilai Nagar-Bhilai of Raipur Railway Division of South East Central Railway, due to which seven trains have been canceled today and on June 23. Similarly, in the Rayagada-Vizianagaram section of Visakhapatnam Railway Division of East Coast Railway, work will be done by taking traffic cum power block. Due to development works, Railways has canceled the trains running through Chhattisgarh. And some trains will run late. Railway officials told that traffic less power block will be taken between Bhilai Nagar – Bhilai, due to which work will be done from 1 to 6.40 pm on June 23. During this, work of girder launching and box pushing of road under bridge will be done. Due to this work, the operation of some passenger trains will be affected.

    Meeting held regarding safe operation of trains in Raipur Railway Division

    Raipur. Today, an online safety seminar was organized by the Safety Department of South East Central Railway Raipur Railway Division with the employees of Operations, Electrical Operations, Mechanical, Signal and Telecommunication and Engineering Departments for the safe operation of trains. In which the following points were discussed.

    Precautions to be taken to avoid spade, precautions to be taken during shunting, process of disconnection and reconnection and precautions to be taken while opening relay room, summer precautions to be taken by engineering department, precautions to be taken related to pre monsoon Analysis of recent accidents, performance of fire extinguishers.

    In this safety seminar, DN Bishwal / Senior Divisional Safety Officer / Raipur, J. Of. Patra/Assistant Divisional Safety Officer/Raipur and a total of 47 people including safety consultants, supervisors and field staff participated in the safety seminar.

    Bilaspur. The MEMU and goods train were standing on the same track near Jairam Nagar. The video related to this went viral on social media. It was claimed that two trains had come on the same track, as well as it was feared that this could lead to another train accident like Balasore. Whoever saw this video was surprised. They also started thinking that how can two trains come on the same track? It was also surprising that the difference between the MEMU and the goods train was also very less.

    People’s reactions started coming continuously on this video. It was called the negligence of the Railways. Questions were being raised on the system and security of the railways. However, as soon as this news reached the Railways, they immediately clarified it. South East Central Railway has denied this news from its official Twitter. He has also expressed grief over it being presented in a sensational manner.

    Railways said that ‘a video is going viral in some media channels, in which it has been shown that a goods train and MEMU train had come on the same track at Gataura station. It is to be told about that that the Jairamnagar-Bilaspur section of Bilaspur Division of South East Central Railway is an automatic signaling block section. LV board is fixed behind the MEMU train. It means that the MEMU train is ahead and the other train has come to follow and is standing at a duly fixed distance. There is no irregularity in this.

    New Delhi. At least 7 laborers were killed and 1 other seriously injured when a goods train ran over them at Odisha’s Jajpur Keonjhar Road railway station on Wednesday. When the goods train started rolling, the workers took shelter under the goods train to avoid heavy rain.

    In a statement, the East Coast Railway said, “Contract workers employed by a contractor for railway work took shelter under a goods train near Jajpur Keonjhar Road (station) to seek protection from a sudden thunderstorm.” The reserve rake without engine started rolling due to the wind which led to the accident. The injured have been admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. The incident comes five days after the tragic triple train accident in Odisha’s Balasore district in which 288 people were killed and over 1,000 others were injured.

    Braving the scorching heat, people armed with their mobile cameras reached the accident site to see the mangled remains of the trains involved in the accident. Though the railway authorities cordoned off the area with green cloth, coaches strewn on the sides of the tracks can now be easily seen. The Coromandel Express was diverted on the loop line before hitting a stationary goods train on Friday night.

    The collision caused the coaches of the Coromandel Express to overturn onto another track. The derailed coaches collided with the rear coaches of another train, the Bengaluru to Howrah Superfast Express, which was traveling in the opposite direction. While trains resumed operations late on Sunday night from the accident site, Wednesday’s journey is the first service of the Coromandel Express to resume the route.

    NEW DELHI: The first train on the section where the accident happened in Balasore started its journey at around 10.40 pm on Sunday, 51 hours after the horrific crash which killed 275 people, officials said.

    The goods train was seen off by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw as scores of media persons and railway officials looked on.

    The train carrying coal is headed towards Rourkela Steel plant from Vizag port and is running on the same track where the ill-fated Bangalore-Howrah train met with the tragedy on Friday.

    The Howrah-bound train crashed with the capsized bogies of the Coromandel Express which had collided with a stationary freight train seconds earlier.

    ”Down-line restoration complete. First train movement in section,” tweeted Ashwini Vaishnaw.

    Raipur. Raipur Railway Police has taken major action against drugs. Two interstate smugglers from Delhi and Chandigarh have been arrested while smuggling ganja. About 48 kg of ganja worth Rs 5 lakh has been seized from the accused.

    According to information, Delhi’s Rocky Kumar and Chandigarh’s Vishal Puri-LTT Super Fast Express were caught illegally smuggling marijuana in the B-6 bogie of Dhekanal in Odisha via Bhusaval. After which GRP has arrested both of them. Action is being taken against the accused by registering a case.
