    One killed, two injured in road accident in Mangalagiri

    A road accident took place in Mangalagiri Bypass road in the midnight where the bike on which three persons travelling at high speed under the influence of alcohol, hit the divider.

    The accident has caused the one of the three youths traveling on the bike killed and two others were seriously injured who were shifted to hospital.

    After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital, a case was registered and investigation was started.

    The full details of the incident are yet to be ascertained.

    Three killed, two injured after earthmover fell on a car

    Nizamabad: In an unfortunate incident, three persons were killed and two others were injured when an earthmover turned over onto a car in Bhingal area of the district on Wednesday morning. The victims were identified as residents of Morthad in the district.

    According to the sources, the earthmover driver reportedly lost control and crashed into the car killing three persons traveling in it on the spot. People who witnessed the accident informed the police who pulled the two trapped in the car out and shifted them to the hospital.

    A case has been registered and investigation is underway.

    Similarly, a man died after a car rammed into a truck at Rajendranagar on Tuesday night.

    The victim R Siddu, a native of Karnataka was going in the car on Outer Ring Road from Gachibowli to Shamshabad when he rammed his car into a truck ahead of his vehicle.

    “The man sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Apparently, he was driving at a high speed and could not control his vehicle ,” said Rajendranagar police.

    A case is registered and investigation on. The body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary.

    Police team attacked in Paonta Sahib, two injured

    Slum dwellers of Bangala Colony at Kunja Matralia village in Paonta Sahib in the district attacked a police team that had gone there to arrest an accused in a theft case last evening. Two policemen were injured in the incident.

    The accused had stolen electric wires and other items from a tubewell owned by a government department. The Paonta Sahib police had registered an FIR in the case on March 20.

    DSP Ramakant Thakur said two policemen were injured when a group of 10 to 12 men and women carrying stones obstructed a police team from arresting the accused. They pelted the police team with stones and also scuffled with it. They did not allow the cops to arrest the accused.

    Five youths — Karan (20), Aakash (47), Mohit (25), Rohit (24) and Arvish (42) — have already been arrested in the theft case. A search is on to arrest the remaining accused. A case under Sections 147, 148, 149, 353, 332, 109, 114 and 225(B), IPC, has been regarded against them at the Purruwala police station.

    One person was killed and two others were injured when the car they were travelling in fell into a 200-metre gorge near Dinger village on the Mangarh-Dinger road in Pacchad subdivision of Sirmaur district last night.

    The trio was taken to a local hospital. Later Lalit and Chaman of Mangarh village, were referred to the PGI, Chandigarh. Sachin of Bagad village, died on the way to hospital.

    Additional SP, Som Dutt said the preliminary probe had revealed that the accident occurred due to rash and negligent driving.

    One killed, two injured in accident in Kullu

    One person died while two others were injured today in a road accident near Senthua village in Nirmand subdivision of the district. The car, in which they were travelling, rolled down into a deep gorge near Senthua village.

    According to the Kullu District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC), there were three occupants in the car, one of whom died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Nahar Das (63) of Senthua village. Nahar’s wife Meera Devi (56) and driver Pawan Kumar (38) of Nitther village were referred to the Rampur Hospital.

    Anni DSP Ravinder Negi said the police carried out the rescue operation. A case had been registered and probe was underway, he added.
