    Lucknow. In Saadatganj police station, a girl has filed a case of rape by giving a written complaint against her lover. The girl alleges that the lover used to sexually exploit her on the pretext of marriage. On becoming pregnant, the accused forced her to have an abortion. The lover refused to marry on pressure of Nikah.

    Saadatganj in-charge Inspector Anjani Mishra told that the girl is divorced. He befriended Kasif. The girl alleges that Kasif tricked her into marriage. After which Kasif started living with her in a rented house in Saadatganj. The accused also started sexually abusing her. When she became pregnant, the accused forcibly prescribed medicine and got her aborted. After which the accused left her and went to his house.

    It is alleged that while searching for Kasif, she reached the victim’s house and started pressuring her for marriage. On this, the accused’s brothers Sarik and Faiz chased him away while abusing him. On the night of May 25 last, the victim was present in the house. Meanwhile, Kasif along with his brothers reached him and started fighting. Hurt by the threats and assault of the accused, the victim has lodged a report at the Saadatganj police station.

Police arrived on the information of the relatives, took the dead body in possession and sent it for postmortem. According to information, Kishan Rajbhar (47) was a resident of Ghamhapur village. He left the house during the day and did not reach home at night. Often he did not go home at night. When the people who went for a walk in the morning saw him hanging face down on the culvert, they informed the family members. The relatives reached the spot and saw that there were injury marks on his face. On this, the relatives expressed the apprehension of his murder and informed the police. Police investigated the spot and sent the body for postmortem.

    According to the information, there is a culvert at some distance from the liquor contract. He was addicted to alcohol. On Wednesday too, he was sitting on the culvert after drinking alcohol. But his body was found in the morning. But the marks on his face were making his death suspicious. In the year 2012, along with his accomplices, he looted the house of Dr. Sukhveer Singh, a resident of Niti Khand, Indirapuram. Taking the family hostage, the miscreants had looted goods worth 15 lakhs.

    ‘Sakal Jain Samaj’ has banned devotees in jeans, half pants, frocks, mutilated clothes as well as gaudy or revealing clothes in addition to the Rishabhdev Taposthali at Shri Digambar Jain Panchayati Temple, Andawa at Zero Road and temples in Katra and Beniganj areas. There is a ban on wearing clothes. Women and girls have been specially requested to cover their heads and enter the temple. Only those who come wearing decent and decent clothes will be allowed entry.

    Lucknow (IANS) | Around 905 branches of all banks in Lucknow and 12,000 branches across the state are ready to accept and exchange Rs 2,000 notes from Tuesday. As the number of customers increases, separate counters have been made and police help will be taken if needed. Anil Tiwari, media in-charge of the United Forum of Bank Unions, said the rush is unlikely to increase as very few Rs 2,000 notes were in circulation.
    The common man need not worry as the last date for exchange and deposit of these currency notes is September 30, 2023, he said. Tiwari said that account holders whose Know Your Customer (KYC) status is correct can deposit Rs 2,000 notes in their accounts.
    He said, Rs 2000 notes of Rs 10,000 will be deposited in Jan Dhan accounts. These notes can be exchanged between May 23 and September 30 at all banks and regional offices of the Reserve Bank of India. In the meantime, these notes will continue to be legal tender/in circulation. On Monday, Rs 2000 notes worth Rs 9 crore were deposited in all the banks and Cash Deposit Machines (CDMs) in Lucknow.
