    Police raided and seized 180 liters of illegal raw liquor

    Meerut. In Hastinapur, in a joint operation of Excise Department and police station, raids were conducted in the forests of many villages of Khadar area. During this the team destroyed about 1500 liters of Lahan. Apart from this, 180 liters of illegal raw liquor was recovered.

    It was informed that to curb the illegal liquor distilleries burning in Khadar area these days, under the leadership of Excise Inspector Jyoti Agarwal, police station is conducting a raid on the hideout of illegal liquor mafia in Khadar area. The team first reached the bank of Budhi Ganga in the forest of village Rathora Khurd. However, before the team reached, the liquor mafia escaped from the spot. After this, a joint team of Excise Department and Police reached 17 plots ahead of Tarapur, where illegal liquor was being made on a large scale in Budhi Ganga. After crossing the stream of Budhi Ganga, the employees of the Excise Department reached near the distilleries, where lahan and liquor were seized and destroyed. However, no liquor mafia was caught by the Excise team.

    Excise Inspector Jyoti Aggarwal said that during the raid in 17 plots, about 1500 liters of Lahan and 180 liters of illegal raw liquor were recovered from 16 drums inside the drain.
    Three furnaces were found on the bank of the drain. The team destroyed the furnaces and lahan on the spot. A case was registered against unknown persons under relevant sections of the Excise Act.

    Excise Inspector Jyoti Agarwal says that to stop illegal liquor business in Khadar area, a continuous campaign is being raided. He said that action is being taken against all the liquor mafia. He said that illegal liquor business will not be allowed in the area at any cost.

    19-year-old Shahzad of Baghpat town lived with his family at a brick kiln on Norojpur Road and works as a bricklayer. Three days ago Shahzad had a dispute with his neighbor Iqbal over some issue. After a fight between the two, the neighbors intervened and pacified the matter. It is alleged that on Saturday morning, Shahzad was called by Iqbal to the kiln, where he was present with his three sons.

    All four together started fighting with Shahzad. Meanwhile, before he ran away, Iqbal attacked him with a knife. Shehzad was stabbed several times with a knife. The father-son attackers fled from the spot leaving Shahzad in a bloody condition. In critical condition, Shahzad was being taken to Meerut for treatment but he died on the way. The police reached the spot and investigated the matter. The police station has started searching for all the accused. The body of the deceased youth has been sent for postmortem.

    People present on the spot told that the attackers stabbed the deceased Shehzad several times with a knife. Three of the attackers thrashed him together, while the fourth stabbed the young man with a knife several times one after the other. In the preliminary investigation, police have found knife marks on the body of the deceased Shahzad at many places.

Joint Police Commissioner Crime Nilabja Chowdhary said that former police officer Dinesh Sharma suddenly shot from his room at his residence in Gomti Nagar on Tuesday. Around 36 kg of marijuana was recovered hidden in the back seat of the car. The accused have been identified as Anuj and Mohit, residents of Gautam Budh Nagar and Baghpat. According to the police, information was received regarding the delivery of a consignment of narcotics (Ganja) and it was also established that the consignment was going in a car.

    Circle Officer Baghpat (CO) Vijay Kumar Chowdhary said on Thursday, the local police received information about the accused involved in drug peddling and conducted a checking operation near the Delhi-Yamunotri National Highway on Wednesday.

    The police team saw two people standing near the Baghpat block development office with a luxury car in suspicious condition, and seeing the police team approaching, the suspects started running, the police laid siege and caught both the accused.

    He said that on examination of the car, it was found that the rear seat of the car was slightly higher than its size. When in doubt, on examination, there was a hidden space at the bottom covered with a wooden plate, which was fixed by means of screws. It was specifically designed for the purpose of concealing prohibited material.

    After removing the wooden plate, around 36 kg of marijuana (ganja) was recovered from the cavity of the car, the officer said.

    During police interrogation, he revealed that he used to buy and sell narcotics. In this operation, 36 kg of Ganja drug and a car have been seized from their possession.

    He said that the accused Anuj, while confessing to the crime, said that he was transporting the consignment of cannabis from Andhra Pradesh to Kairana area in a luxury car and wanted to earn financial profit by selling it at high prices in the nearby districts. The criminal history of the arrested accused is being inquired by the local police.

    The CO said, the police have arrested the driver of the vehicle, Anuj, and one of his helpers, Mohit. And a case has been registered under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act 1985 at Baghpat Kotwali police station.
