    Bike riding armed criminals shot and killed a young man, people blocked the road

    NALANDA: These days criminals have become unbridled in Bihar. This is the reason why incidents of crime are being committed one after the other. Sometimes they are challenging the police by looting banks and sometimes by carrying out incidents of murder, kidnapping and rape. The latest case is of Nalanda’s Deepnagar police station area where bike-borne armed criminals shot dead a young man.

    Enraged by the incident, people blocked the main road for hours and created a ruckus. People protested the incident by arson and demanded the arrest of the accused. During this, people shouted slogans against the police administration.

    Traffic was badly disrupted following the uproar by the people. After getting the information of the uproar, the police reached the spot and pacified the angry people by persuading them. The police assured of action after which the anger of the people subsided. At present, the police is investigating the whole matter. Police is taking further action by sending the dead body of the youth for postmortem.

    A 26-year-old youth was shot dead while he was sitting at a tea stall in Mehandipur village of the district here today.

    The police suspect gang-war behind the crime.

    The deceased was identified as Nikhil of Mehandipur village. He was allegedly involved in over 10 criminal cases, including murder, and was recently released on bail.

    Phool Singh, uncle of the deceased, said Nikhil had opened the tea stall a week ago at the gate of the Murtal grain market.

    He, along with Vishal, Chand and Nikhil, was sitting at the tea stall when four youths on two motorcycles came there and fired at Nikhil, killing him on the spot. They also fired a shot at him, said Phool Singh.

    The police reached the spot and registered a case against four unknown assailants under various Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and began a probe in the matter.

    Haryana: A canter driver was shot dead on Monday afternoon on Kishora Road near Kumaspur village of Sonipat. After the incident, the villagers reached the spot and informed the police about the matter. After getting the information, the police reached the spot, took the dead body into custody and got it kept in the mortuary of the civil hospital. At present, the police is engaged in the investigation of the case.

    Sumit, a resident of Kumaspur village, told that his brother Amit alias Chikku (33) was walking towards village Kishora. He was a canter driver. Two unknown youths who came riding on a bike from Kishora’s side killed her by firing five bullets. After executing the incident, the youth riding the bike fled from the spot. Seeing the dead body lying on the road, the villagers informed the relatives and the police about the incident. After getting the information, the police and FSL team reached the spot and started the investigation. Along with this, Bahalgarh police station took the body into custody and got it kept in the mortuary of the civil hospital.
